Two L-410s were damaged beyond repair during the October´s hurricane Wilma. The aircrafts involved were L-410UVP reg. XA-TAU (c/n 851529) of Aero Ferinco at Playa del Carmen and L-410UVP XA-SXX (c/n 800512) at Fort Lauderdale Executive, Florida, stored there for a longer time.

One of two L-410UVP-E20s owned by South African Aircraft Systems (reg. ZS-OXR, c/n 972730), originally flown with Air Express Algeria returned back. It's homebase is in Malawi now. Aircraft has original colours, but the new titles of its new operator Air Malawi were applied. Aircraft was seen during July 2005 in service on the airport at Lilongwe (Kamuzu International).

Next L-410 for Brazilian carrier Cruiser Linhas Aéreas left from Kunovice to Brazil at the end of November. L-410UVP-E20 reg. PR-CRA (c/n 902514, ex OK-VDP) is now the second aircraft in the fleet together with PR-CRX (c/n 912617), which was already delivered at the end of 2003.

The technical stop performed at Prague L420 of Air Express Algeria (ZS-OUE, c/n 012735A) on 25.11. This aircraft was on the way from the homebase at Hassi Messaoud via Pula to Prague Kbely for technical maintenance. Mentioned aircraft is owned by company Aircraft Systems from Bethlehem, which leased their aircrafts to various african operators. Air Express Algeria is the only operator of L420 in the world (plus ZS-OSE). It use two L410 as well (ZS-OOF, OXR).

L410UVP-E19A of Trade Air (9A-BTA) crashed and broke up soon after takeoff from Bergamo airport yesterday evening. This c/n 912538 ex Bemoair OK-WDO aircraft performed night cargo flight for DHL to Zagreb. Weather at the time of accident was poor with a visibility of 200-300 metres due to fog.

Farnair Europe Hungary phased out its remaining L-410UVPs HA-LAC, HA-LAE, HA-LAD and HA-LAS. Three of these L410s will join the fleet of ABC Air Hungary and one will be sold to Bulgaria to Scorpion Air or Air Max. ABC Air Hungary will be the largest L-410 operator in Hungary with HA-LAV, HA-LAZ, HA-LAC, HA-LAS and one of HA-LAD or HA-LAE in its fleet. ABC is first L410 returned to Bulgaria earlier, HA-LAY registration was cancelled. The future of HA-YFC and HA-LAQ is not known.

Sadly news from Peru about L-410UVP reg. EP-830 (c/n 790204 ?) of Peruvian Army. The aircraft crashed out of control near a fractionation plant. Reportedly the captain was simulating a failure of the nr.1 engine. 13 soldiers were killed.

L-410UVP-E, registered as HK-4146 (c/n 902426) of West Caribbean Airways crashed at the island of Providencia, in the Caribbean. 8 people from 14 on board died, including both cockpit crew.

L-410UVP-E4 reg. HA-LAR (c/n 871923) of Farnair Europe crashed shortly before landing near Iasi airport in Romania. The aircraft was on regular mail flight from Bucharest to Budapest. L410 crashed during second attempt to land, because of heavy snowing. Both pilots were killed.
